Training Sessions

There are trainings every week on Tuesday and club nights every Wednesday. Tuesday trainings are being held in Hall 1 of the Sports Center of Tilburg University (Olympia building). These courses are freely accessible for all students who have a sports membership.

There are three different trainings for three different levels:

Advanced (level 1) (20:00 – 21:30)

These are training sessions for the highest teams. In addition to technical training, attention is also paid to tactics. Circuit and tempo training are also included in the training program, as well as training on special strokes such as felled smash / drop, flick service and drive. Be on time so that you can participate in the warm up. During training it is possible to borrow a racket at no cost. Shuttles are also provided.

Intermediate (level 2) (20:00 – 21:00)

This level requires that you can perform all basic strokes reasonably well. The focus will be on improving these strokes and learning more complex techniques. Attention will also be paid to setting up for the various disciplines.

Beginner (level 3) (21:00 – 22:00)

This level is perfect for the novice badminton players. This level covers all sorts of basic techniques such as counting the score, footwork, body posture, the right grip of your racket and the wrist technique for the different kind of strokes. Playing matches is also part of the program.

If you do not know what level you are playing yourself, we recommend that you come to the intermediate (level 2) training. If that proves to be too difficult, you can then immediately participate in beginner (level 3). If it turns out that it is very easy, you can transfer to the next training course to advanced (level 1).
